Regis Banqueting are an award-winning Scottish catering company for all occasions.
Regis Banqueting premises is within an area of Cumbernauld that has very slow ADSL lines making general day to day tasks such as sending and receiving emails or updating the website very difficult.
All desktop computers were using Windows 7 and Microsoft stopped supporting this in January 2020. Finally, the company had no backup procedure in place. All information from bookings, to orders to invoices were all stored on the desktops. If something was to go wrong, they would lose everything.
Firstly, DDG implemented a new lease line that allowed Regis to upgrade to a better phone system and move onto a faster service. Regis Banqueting were able to offset some of the cost of this line by offering connection to fellow businesses in the same block who were also struggling with line speed.
Desktop computers were all upgraded to Windows 10 and Regis now use Office 365 for emails and document storage giving them peace of mind they now have a disaster recovery procedure in place.

“We have been a customer with DDG for many years for our print and photocopier needs and had grown over the last few years with an increase in office staff. We were using a cloud-based system but was not able to integrate with more than one person working on a document. DDG proposed a new OFFICE 365 system and hardware upgrade along with the installation of a new leased line of 100 mbps for upload and download speed which allowed all staff to work simultaneously on shared drives. This was particularly timely with the arrival of COVID and all staff were able to work remotely and access files. This also allows for staff working offsite to have access to all files which has been a game changer for our business. Having all IT and document and photocopy/ print managed by the one company who are proactive and very responsive to any issues which arise has transformed our business.
